Fun with Aunt Connie!!!

I still point to my chin every time I talk about Aunt Connie! (and I sign cat when I talk about Aunt Patti!!!) Here she is riding me on her back. We had so much fun tonight! I was very excited about Aunt Connie and Uncle Chris coming over - and they both played with me - but especially my Aunt Connie!

You might be able to see that today I got some sun burn on my face and arms, even tho Mommy put 50 one me 2 xs and I stayed in the shade for a lot of the time.

Of course penguins are my favorites but as you can see I love ALL the animals. And, I'm getting more juice here than at home so I ask for it and talk about it a lot!

A little seasoner!

Here's a quick re-cap of something that happened today:

Lia was stirring some "food" and feeding me a bite. I signed & said please, thank you, more and delicious! After the first bite I was not allowed to have another until she went over to her kitchen and did what appeared to be pretending to season this bowl of food (like she sees me grab kosher salt from my little salt bowl and season food on the stove). She really pinched her fingers into the kitchen area and sprinkled them over the bowl, stir and only then was I allowed to enjoy another bite of her food creation!

What a trip!!!! A little chef in the making!

18 months old today!

I turned 18 months old today! I am growing and talking more. Also signing more. Right now my favorite sign is helicopter. When mom talks to me about the plane we're going to take to Mexico I insist that it should be a helicopter by signing the word.

I am now saying "bye" and waving and blowing kisses.

Love me some chicken legs

This is a chicken leg from a local farm. Mom grilled them for us tonight. I was liking pieces of the meat but really really liked chowing down on the bone. YUM.

Very proud - feeding myself today!

Today I fed myself Mommy's roasted sweet potatoes (seasoned with chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, garlic and salt & pepper). I feel VERY proud of myself and I just LOVE these sweet pototaes, and even liked dipping my fork into the sour cream! :)

I am such a little Mommy!

I am not only feeding my Martha baby doll, but you'll see me cooking and stirring baby Martha's food. She also needs a drink. I love mimicing how my Mommy takes care of me. You can see I'm a quick learner!

My very first sled riding experience today!

All bundled up in the car and excited to go sled riding!
Dad, Mom and I went right around the corner to a hot spot for sled riding. It's cold but there are other kids here, I'm not sure about all of this.

My VERY first ride with Mommy. We wiped out but Daddy - luckily - didn't catch it on camera!

Daddy and I made it down fine but I'm a little scared.

Now we're just watching the other kids.

I signed "more" but when Mommy went and picked up the sled I signed "all finished". She figured out that I all wanted more of was to watch the other kids! :)

Safe and sound at home with Mom and Dad. Mommy made us home made hot chocolate! My reaction to my first sip was a prolonged "mmmmmmmmmmm".

Some sweet stuff!

Ok, so I'm posting this because I wanted to share a few recent things with you about Lia. In the evening, as Lia breastfeeds, she calms down. She can begin by being pretty squiggly, or laughing. But almost always at the end is practically asleep, or so very very relaxed. Last night was typical, with her being silly at first: sticking her finger in my mouth, etc. But by the end, she was calm and peaceful. At the very moment that I stood up to bundle her up and head into her room to tuck her into bed, she pulled her head away from my body and kissed my arm and then patted my shoulder. It was the sweetest thing EVER.

And, today for lunch we ate the same thing (although she not so much of the asparagus but a bite or 2): Salmon (blackened), my hashbrown potatoes with sour cream, asparagus, apple (this was hers) and some tuna salad with beans that I made the other day. I told her what each item was and she signed "potato" and "fish" and "beans". And she kept asking for more salmon by signing fish (she got a lot of the salmon!). Yesterday when I was feeding her some of this same tuna salad, she signed "egg" and pointed to the hard boiled egg in there. So I would reach in and give her pieces of egg.

Just wanted to share! :)

Newport Christmas

Dad, Mom and I met Colleen and Andy down at Newport to celebrate our Christmas since Colleen & Andy will be with his family this week. My sister Colleen & I were having fun.

I love hats & signing hat!

This morning I kept pointing to Mommy's "hat" which is her bandana that she works out in. She told me to put it on and I had so much fun doing it!

Such a little Mommy!I

I LOVE my bear and spent some time this morning situating my bear into the baby swing. I also managed to reach up and turn on the music for the bear while she's in the baby swing.

Sometimes I just love to lay down on the floor...

I just stretch out on the floor, mostly in the kitchen when Mommy is cooking or in the Living Room. I find it comfortable to stretch out and kick back.

...Tiggers are wonderful things, their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs. I love my tigger!
